I Accuse Your Parents!

Judge: “Before we go any further, I urge you once again to speak if there is anything to say in your defense.”

Jimmy Wilson: “Maybe I shouldn’t say this your honor, but I accuse my parents!”

I Accuse My Parents – 1944 Motion Picture by PRC

The morning of Sunday November 6, 2016 was an eerily quiet, gray looking fall day.  I took a drive with my daughter to pick up Sunday breakfast when up ahead in front of me a huge flat-bed truck pulled over on the side of the highway, and from the distance we could see the driver angle the bed so that it could be seen by oncoming traffic.  As he hoisted up very large placard-like signs, we could distinctly see the writing on them.  It was unmistakable even from half a mile down the road.  It had two words with no connecting verbs or conjunctions. It would have been visible from a plane, it was so large.  The sign was as ominously gray as the day, and now I can see it as the embarrassing harbinger it was.  It simply read “Hillary” over top of the word “Corrupt”.  We could see as the man was done hoisting the sign that he climbed atop that flatbed and as if he needed to attract any more attention took off his tan cowboy hat as stood there waving it frantically.  With one hand he would press a compressor to blow an air horn to capture all eyes, as if the entire P.T. Barnum spectacle needed any further promotion.

As sickening as I found the display, I felt very badly for this blatant fool, going out of his way to ensure that all passersby would fully take in the height of his ignorance.  It disheartened me even more when I could hear behind me, as other vehicles started tooting their horns to salute this travesty.

I was saddened because, I saw how easily, a con man like Trump could dupe such ill equipped people.  They someone had become the children lured by the pied piper of Con.  Cadet Bone Spurs, an obvious coward of a man, could spew hate speech (properly as close to the line as possible without going over, as all racists should in order to feign ignorance of said racism),  blame the other, de-fame nearly everyone, stiff all his workers, quote National Enquirer articles, boast about sexually assaulting women, be credibly accused of such sexual assault by > a dozen women, threaten to jail political opponents, use opposition material stolen by an enemy foreign power, openly call for that foreign power to interfere in our election, have a history of being sued thousands of times by people he cheated or just said what he didn’t like, and had undergone 6 bankruptcies, and still our cowboy out there on the highway had been duped into believing that it was not the cowardly Orange Cadet that was corrupt, but someone that had been scrutinized by the public for 30 years.

I don’t blame our Cowboy who surely realizes his idiocy now, as he watches the debasement of our Government by a family of grifters.  Surely he catches the news reports about the Jared Kushner corruption as he received half a Billion dollars in loans for his company after meeting with the same banks in the White House.  Surely he sees that a Cowardly Cadet (who hysterically made claims he’d run in after a shooter even with no weapon, just like he ran into the Viet Nam fray) who received > $30M from the NRA wouldn’t have his love of life swayed by the gun lobby right?  Or maybe after his apprentice dress rehearsal where he ground up Due Process and fed it to the coy as he discussed taking the guns first to the utter amazement at the stupidity by the Republicans in the board room.  Definitely our cowboy sees that foreign policy was enacted in order to hurt countries unfriendly to our security clearance-less wunderkind.  By now the cowboy sees that the Cadet that did not put his assets in a blind trust is grifting off of taxpayer dollars for his businesses.  Making money off the little guy.  Hopefully somewhere now that arrogantly cowboy hat waving man has some kind of awakening by now that he ushered in a man that has spent nearly 25% of his time golfing while bilking the taxpayer for the Government contingent and secret service that follow him.  No doubt our cowboy was irked that Ivanka with a promo from Kellyanne Conway was selling her goods in Government meetings.  The cowboy by now has reviewed the Clinton Foundation to see that all donations to this charity are publicly available, and that the overhead that pious LGBTQ hating(another reason you’d love these people, huh cowboy?  They hate and discriminate like it was the 1930s again) Mike Pence lied about is a mere 12% and was rated 4 of 4 stars by Charity Navigator.  Beyond a reasonable doubt by now the cowboy has seen that the entire world thinks far less of the US.  Obviously the cowboy has taken in by now that the Cadet has not enacted the Russian Sanctions that are law now.   Am sure he has noticed that the Orange Cadet is so incompetent that greater than 100 of his White House staff still do not have the proper clearance.  Or maybe the cowboy noticed that the first lady’s friend was given an inaugural contract worth $26 million.   Maybe the cowboy by now is upset that the White House lies at a rate not seen outside of freshman tinder profiles.  Maybe the cowboy is really upset that the US Government has indicted Russian Trolls for interfering with the election.  Am sure the cowboy has by now traded in his cowboy hat for a pink knit when he saw that our Cadet was lying for his son about his Russian meeting in the Towers.

Of course the cowboy is in all likelihood keeping that flatbed and sign stored and cleaned up for the next election.  Am sure there is little information that can be conveyed to him.  I don’t accuse him for this ignorance.  I accuse his parents.  I won’t ever know for sure how sickness like this develops, but it has a lot of help along the way.

The cowboy’s parents could have taught him that name calling is not something to be admired.

  • Obviously they didn’t get this through to him.

They could have taught him that in our Democracy we don’t threaten our political opponents.

  • This would be so far out of his parents reach am sure they didn’t bother.

They could have taught him that “All men are created equal”(and women too), regardless of race, creed, color.

  • Am sure they wouldn’t have attempted this even if they believed it in the first place.

They could have taught the cowboy to show respect for women.

  • C’mon way beyond the sheet music they could play from.

They could have taught him to make sure his data was good, his sources firm, and to embark on a life of continuous learning.

  • Please find another ballpark to play in, because we’re not even in the stands on this one.

They could have taught him to pay attention to the details.

  • No comprehension of this type of diligence.

They could have taught him that masculinity didn’t involve bullying, threatening, demeaning people.

  • They didn’t have it in them.

They could have taught him that real men could vote for the highest qualified woman.

  • This would take too much courage. Easier to hate.

They could have taught him that the country is before the party.

  • Too complicated for self-righteous flag wavers.

They could have taught him some history.  Maybe about Benedict Arnold, and not siding with a foreign power or something like that.

  • Too much. Hating is easier.  Pretending to be wrapped in the constitution is way way easier.

I don’t blame the cowboy.  He was only doing what his neurons had been trained to fire at.  He couldn’t help the programs they were set to.  Couldn’t help the information that his firings filtered out.  He was trained to be fodder for the con.

I don’t accuse the cowboy.  I accuse his parents.  They failed him.  They made him.  Now we all deal with the consequences wheeled in by people just like them.

So cowboy when asked how an Orange Con was able to dupe you and the people you could easily enroll in your full throated hatred, in your defense, just shout out

“I accuse my parents!”

Yeah like I said “I accuse your parents” too, now please help us to clean up the mess.
